New Compulsory Electrical Safety Tests for Landlords
New legislation has come into force that requires landlords to carry out electrical safety checks on all rental properties or face the prospect of a £30,000 fine.
The new legislation that has come into law requires that electrical installation inspections and testing are completed for all new tenancies in England from 1 July 2020. And from 1 April 2021 for all existing tenancies.
